Staylive OysterBar filters:
As a rule, filters shall be changed once a year or if damaged or put into contact with detergent, insecticides or other chemical products.  
The same filters are used for both the D-300 and D-500 model.
To maintain the proper operation of your Staylive OysterBar do not ever use other filters than the ones listed below. Their special conception and composition contribute to the unique performance of your machine.

Measuring instrument for Staylive OysterBar: 
The measuring instruments provided at time of delivery are used to monitor different settings essential to the proper operation of our machines. They shall be maintained in good working conditions and be immediately replaced if damaged or broken.

These instruments are not specific to the Staylive OysterBar. Similar measuring tools can be found in certain pet shops. Their quality and accuracy are however very variable. For your comfort we therefore advise you to use the instruments sold by Sealife Equipment. Their quality and accuracy have been proven over a number of years of continuous usage.

Salt for Staylive OysterBar:
Salt water is a vital element to ensure sea species prolonged survival in our systems.
If not on the sea shore, salt water will be obtained by mixing fresh water and synthetic salt (approximately 1kg of salt per 30 litres of water).  
Our equipment are always supplied with the right amount of salt for start up. However, condensation and evaporation will cause the salanity level to fluctuate over time. We therefore strongly recommend that you always keep some salt at your premises.  
You obviously can’t just use any salt in our tanks. To ensure optimum performance, you must use a carefully formulated synthetic sea salt containing every necessary major and minor components as well as trace elements. The seamix listed below has been tested and approved by Sealife Equipment for that purpose.
