Salt water is a
vital element to ensure sea species prolonged survival in our systems.
If not on the
sea shore, salt water will be obtained by mixing fresh water and synthetic
salt (approximately 1kg of salt per 30 litres of water).
Our equipment
are always supplied with the right amount of salt for start up. However,
condensation and evaporation will cause the salanity level to fluctuate
over time. We therefore strongly recommend that you always keep some salt
at your premises.
You obviously
can’t just use any salt in our tanks. To ensure optimum performance, you
must use a carefully formulated synthetic sea salt containing every
necessary major and minor components as well as trace elements. The seamix
listed below has been tested and approved by Sealife Equipment for that
purpose.
